This summers Big Brother didn't disappoint. Father Dan, School Teacher from Michigan, won $500,000 and received all 7 of the jury house votes!!
All to think I didn't give Dan much credit, but he really started to step up his game about 5 episodes ago!! One thing that I thought was admirable (if you can even use that word in the same sentence as "Big Brother") was that this time around the jury voted based on game play and not whether or not they liked the person individually. Last season the jury voted for Steven to win, when it didn't seem like he didn't do much game playing. So at least this time around the jury recognized that it is a game and it's about who can play it.
So at the live finale the jury house and the earlier evicted house guest were brought back together.
I also thought that Brian had a very good point when he said that Dan and Memphis kept the game play to the game. He brought us instances during the season where Ollie threw a temper tantrum, Michelle making comments about Libra's role as a model, and April and Michelle's catty comments about Keesha's physical appearance. I guess those haters, Michelle, April , and Ollie will realize when they finally watch the show how stupid they looked. The BEST part was seeing the look on their faces when Brian and Steven were talking...they were so confused. Libra and Renny were the most gracious of the losers, obviously they were outplayed. It's a game and there has to be a winner...
I hope they do another Big Brother All Stars!!
Okay we're more than half way through the latest season of Big Brother.
One of the things that I've really started to NOT like about this show is how "personal" everyone takes things. Okay people, it's a GAME! People are gonna backdoor you, lie to you, and talk crap about you. Get over it!! The last and current season players just don't seem to understand that. From Jerry's rants of calling Dan Judas, to Michelle yelling that Libra should get her kids taken away...they're actin' pretty mental if you ask me!! See the way I look at it, only one person will win...at one point it'll get down to top 5, final 4, last three, then there were two...so these "alliances" are gonna get broken and the least popular of that alliance is out. So those players who were"protecting" April and Ollie are stupid cuz they'd always take each other to the final two!
But tonight Dan...the teacher from St. Mary's...pulled a killer move and I give him big props. I gotta admit I underestimated him as a little-follower-boy the first couple of episodes. But at this point, I'm thinking he's played the best game so far. Twice he was the swing vote, having two differenent alliances practically begging for his vote. Then he wins HOH and promises Ollie the world. Ollie is thinkin' he got the deal of lifetime and he's gonna vindicate his shomance, April. HA HA HA HA Ollie...you got played!! BIG UPS TO DAN!!
Now it'll be interesting to see how the house turns because...It seems like there's only one major alliance left, but if Jerry and Ollie wanna get back in this game, they're gonna have to play some magic on them other people!!
Okay, so you know that I've been hOOked on this latest season of Big Brother!! So it was a gut wrenching night watching the finale!! It came down to the final two "bro's"
Those of you who follow the show know that it starts off with 14 contestants, the first six who get booted off basically go home. The seven to follow go to a sequestor house and are the "jury" The jury determines who of the final two will win the $500,000!! This seasons jury consisted of a bunch of HATERS! LoL...but seriously they were salty as can be...I understand that the the person you vote for had to have at some point out-smarted, out-played, out-witted you, but geesh...lighten up your on national TV!!
In my opinion, Joshuah was the only jury member who voted the way Big Brother intends...how you play the game. Josh was a bigger man to admit that hey, Ryan was a better player - more competitive and sneaky...that's what Big Brother is all about. For Sheila and Sharon being upset that either Adam or Ryan lied to them saying that either of them was taking either or both girls to the final two...get over it guys...thats how you play the game! It was a smart move to get rid of Sharon because she probably would've won against anyone in the final two, and as for Sheila, I think neither of the bros wanted to spend additional time with her alone in the house...what a naggy old lady!! But I give Sheila props because I never thought she'd make it as far as she did in the game! Chelsia...probably the saltiest hater in the Jury Pool...I think she's such a negative and mean person...I don't know if she voted for Adam because he had more worthier causes or because Ryan said he'd buy something for his girlfriend Jen...Chelsia could've made it farther if she wasn't such a b*tch...but thats my opinion. In the end...
Adam get's the $500,000, Ryan get's $50,000 (+ another $10,000 he won in an earlier competition) and in a twist James wins jury favorite for $25,000. I personally thought Ryan had better game play, lied when he needed to, won competitions when he needed to and schemed like Big Brother intends...I can't wait for the next season! But hopefully the end of this cycle means that the Amazing Race is starting up soon!! As you can tell I'm a TV junky!
All of us have our "shows". You know the ones we just can't live without watching or no one can talk about until you've watched the whole episode or the ones where you don't answer the phone or the door until a commercial break. Here's what I'm currently into...
If you want to literally laugh your butt off this is the show for you!! It's a good family show and every week, it never ceases to amaze me how some people are really quite silly!! Plus if you or your family need some money, this is a great fundraiser! LoL!
Oh my gosh...the drama!! This season it's Big Brother Til Death Do us Part, so they're playing as couples!! This is one of those shows that I don't blink until commercials!! Plus it's on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday!! Way to get my fix!!
Also on Wednesday nights is the newest Cycle of Amercia's Next Top Model. And as Tyra said, [pointing to her hair roots], its time for ANTM to go back to their roots. So this season will be in NYC...whats up with all the acronyms?? LoL!! The first episode was FULL of drama as a show with a bunch of 18-25 year old females would be!! I wonder where they're exotic locale will be this time?
Survivor Micronesia - Fans vs Favorites!! I love this show...one of the best parts, I don't have to wait to see who gets voted out! All the excitement and drama and eviction takes place in one hour!! Also, I've heard that the Micronesian Islands are pretty tiny...why don't they just walk to the other side of the island when they need to have their secret meetings??
I love Duff...I love Charm City Cakes...I love Ace of Cakes!! I wish they were here and I could order some crazy cake with spinning heads and fireworks! LoL!! What they do is pretty amazing and when you watch them, most of them are doing it completely free hand!! What a great job!! Besides this show I love watching tons of others on HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, and the like.
Currently the only completely fiction prime time TV show I'm watching! And tonights episodes gonna be a crazy one!! Did anyone catch last weeks?? What a twist! By the way...does anyone know how the writers strike is going?? I really miss my other shows...House, JourneyMan, Heroes, CSI, Cold Case...
I never heard of this show until a couple of weeks ago. I was sittin' on my couch flipping thru the channels and I stopped on it for whatever reason! It plays on Lifetime at like 5 in the afternoon. I LOVE their humor!! Their so dry and sarcastic...kinda like me!! So I don't know if there are new episodes or just reruns, but for now they're all new to me!
So as you can probably tell I do watch A LOT of TV, but I do other stuff too. That's the blessing of DVR...I can go and live my life then come home and veg out! LoL!! But I can also record one show while I watch another one live, so it is alot easier to be hooked on a variety of shows. Like I mentioned earlier I do like to watch alot of the stuff on HGTV, Travel, Food Network, DIY and all those other channels...thats why I don' t need HBO, CineMax, Showtime, or any of those "premium" channels!! Ahhh...TV...America's favorite past time! LoL!
